Dave Matthews Band Returns to PNC Park on July 10

What summer tour would be complete without a helping of the Dave Matthews Band? They will be making their annual trek through Pittsburgh on Saturday, July 10 at 7pm, playing PNC Park. It will be just one stop on a 40-city tour which will carry them through September. The group continues to tour in support of their latest album ‘Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King’ that was nominated for two Grammy Awards. DMB has tabbed an assortment of musicians to help them out on the road including Ben Harper, Zac Brown Band, Gov’t Mule, Brett Dennen and Raphel Saadiq. Tickets go onsale to the general public through Tickets.com on Friday, February 26 at 10am. If you weren’t fortunately enough to take advantage of the DMB Warehouse fan club presale, you can still score advanced tickets via the American Express presale on Monday, February 22 at 10am. Ticket prices run from $75 to $49.50.

Sugarland Comes to First Niagara Pavilion May 14

Country duo Sugarland will be embarking on a lengthy summer tour, still as part of their “Incredible Machine Tour” which kicked off in spring. They will be tackling various US cities and a couple of Canadian stops to kick off the summer leg.

As part of the 55-city summer trek, the duo will be stopping by Pittsburgh on May 14, Friday as they perform at the First Niagara Pavilion at 7:30 PM. Jake Owen and Danny Gokey are also scheduled to perform as support acts.

Tickets will be available to the general public on February 27, Saturday at 10 AM through Live Nation. Early access to tickets will be available through Sugarland’s fan club presale on February 22, Monday at 10 AM and also through the Live Nation and radio presale on February 26, Friday at 10 AM.

Tickets are priced at $50.25 and $40.25 for the reserved seating areas and $26.50 for the general admission lawn seating areas.

The duo is expected to sing tracks from their most recent release, 2008’s “Love on the Inside”, and also some new material which will be part of their upcoming fourth album which is yet to be titled but is slated to surface in the summer.

Jimmy Buffett Parties at First Niagara Pavilion August 17

Jimmy Buffett is ready to turn First Niagara Pavilion into his own private Margaritaville when he comes to Pittsburgh on Thursday, August 12 at 8pm. His latest tour dubbed “Under the Big Top” supports his latest release “Buffet Hotel.” Never fear, Buffett promises to play all the favorites to help you issue in summer with style. Tickets for the Pittsburgh show go onsale to the general public via Ticketmaster on Friday, February 19 at 10am. Ticket prices run from $136 to $36 for reserved seating in the pavilion area as well as $36 for general admission lawn seating. As with all events at First Niagara Pavilion, this event will go on rain or shine. Jimmy Buffett is always a red hot ticket when he comes to the Burgh so get up early on Saturday with your favorite fellow parrotheads and secure your tickets.

Daughtry Rocks the Petersen Events Center on June 2

American Idol rocker Chris Daughtry will be bringing his band to Pittsburgh to play the Petersen Events Center on Wednesday, June 2 at 7:30 pm. The stop is a part of 50-city national tour in support of their latest release “Leave This Town.” Lifehouse and Cavo will serve as opening supporting acts.

Tickets for the Pittsburgh date will go onsale through Ticketmaster to the general public on Saturday, February 6 at 10am. There will be two presales on Tuesday, February 2 at 10am for members of the Daughtry Fan Club as well as an AEG\Venue\Ticketmaster presale Friday, February 5 at 10 am.
